Fancy Togs

Brought forward for the Vintage Photos Theme Park theme of "CHILDREN STANDING ON CHAIRS".
This was found in Vermont but is an unsent postcard with "Made in Canada" on the back.
I really like the interesting design of this woman's dress but the little girl is wearing very peculiar shoes.

Thanks, Lisa. At some point, there was a question about whether the girl's boots were medically supportive - but I think they're just "fashionable"

Thanks, Rick We have a funny family story that my Nana, born in Ireland in the 1880s, had a young uncle who once brought her high button boots from Dublin. She was so proud of them that she went to bed wearing them - and when she woke up in the morning she stood up and fell over, because her feet had becomes so swollen! ( She always used to laugh telling us this story).
