The first 'Nunnington Hall' was mentioned in the thirteenth century and the site has had many different owners. They include 1st Viscount Preston, the Rutson family and the Fife family. The present building is a combination of seventeenth and eighteenth century work. Most of the building seen today was created during the 1680s, when Richard Graham, 1st Viscount Preston, was its owner. [Wiki]

The treasurers house - City of York - U.K.

The treasurers house - .. adjacent to the magnificent York Minster, the house was built on such a grand scale because the Minster officials who lived there were expected to host VIP guests. In 1617 King James I was entertained at Treasurer’s House. And in 1900, Edward VII and Queen Alexandra visited as Prince and Princess of Wales along with their daughter Victoria. It is in their honour that the King’s Room, Queen’s Room and Princess Victoria’s Room were so named. If you have 8mins..30 secs. to spare.. you can watch a well known ghost story connected to the house. www.youtube.com/watch?v=iT3oD-Shkp8&t=331s

Caernarfon castle - Wales - UK.

19 Jun 2021 8 14 120
'Caernarfon Castle' is recognised around the world as one of the greatest buildings of the Middle Ages and work probably began in May 1283. This fortress-palace on the banks of the 'River Seiont' is grouped with Edward I’s other castles at Conwy, Beaumaris and Harlech.. But for sheer scale and architectural drama Caernarfon stands alone. In 1911, the future Edward VIII was invested at Caernarfon Castle, and Prince Charles was invested there in 1969. This gigantic building project eventually took 47 years and cost a staggering £25,000.

Brodsworth Hall, near Brodsworth, 5 miles (8.0 km) north-west of Doncaster in South Yorkshire, is one of the most complete surviving examples of a Victorian country house in England. It is virtually unchanged since the 1860s. It was designed in the Italianate style by the obscure London architect, Philip Wilkinson, then 26 years old. He was commissioned by Charles Sabine Augustus Thellusson, who inherited the estate in 1859, but the original estate was constructed in 1791.

Mill road in Eckington Derbyshire.. within the 'Moss valley' once busy with water powered mills - and a coal mine. Seen to the left is one of the mill ponds which many years ago fed a mill to the right of the road .. of which ruins still remain today.
