Where in the world?

There are clues in the picture!
The logic goes like this...
We are looking in the mirror, so the picture is reversed, as evidenced by the word 'Globetrotter' on the white artic lorry. Hence the mirror is on the right hand side of the car.
Behind the line of vehicles on the right of the picture there are many trees, so this must be 'Lane 1'. Therefore the car is in 'Lane 2'. (If the car was in 'Lane 1', the central reservation and the opposite carriageway would be behind the line of vehicles)
So, in the real world, 'Lane 1' is to the right of the driver, so it cannot be in England.
The closeness of the vehicles (and that the driver of the white car was able to take the picture) suggest that the traffic is not moving.
As the traffic is not moving, the vehicles in 'Lane 1' have moved to the edge of the road, while those in 'Lane 2' have moved to the centre. The only country in Europe that does this is Germany. Everywhere else, stationary traffic is not in any kind of discipline.
The Germans are very good at following their orders!!!
Alternatively, I have some other pictures dated this day, which are defiinately Germany, so I must have been there!

I'm happy that you had a good look!!
I have put the solution above, which is maybe easier to understand if you forget about what is in the mirror glass, and just look at the white mirror surround.. The support is on the left side, so that is where the car is...
Best Wishes, and a Good Weekend,
Peter

I'm pleased that you have enjoyed it!
Maybe it is different where you live, but I have never seen an orderly queue like this on an Italian highway!!
Best Wishes, and a Good Weekend,
Peter
At least you found something to do while in the jam
Best wishes ... Steve
Peter_Private_Box club has replied to SteThank you for visiting and giving it more than two nano seconds thought!
I am pleased you found it interesting, but as explained above, not in England.. Only the Germans are disciplined enough to stop like this, so as to leave room for emergency vehicles.
(It is their orders......)
Best Wishes, and a Good Weekend,
Peter
Of course you were in Germany on the 7th
Peter_Private_Box club has replied to Nick Weall clubThank you so much for your very kind visit.
I am pleased you found it interesting, and thought...
As explained above, it is a right hand drive car, so the driver (me) took this shot, which was safe as the traffic was going nowhere. At least you were smart enough to look at the dates on my other pictures!!
Best Wishes, and a Good Weekend,
Peter
Ich wünsche dir eine entspannte neue Woche.

I am so happy that you like the scene, and also that you are not stuck there too!
Best Wishes, and a good week ahead,
Peter
in reality, however, it is actually the case that traffic jams on the German motorways usually do not create such a perfect emergency lane. And if they did, there were already drivers who simply used the emergency lane to drive past the traffic jam. Paramedics, fire fighters and the police are often prevented from getting to the scene quickly.
Currently there is a lot of discussion about whether to increase the fines for this because so many drivers are inconsiderate!
See this vid: www.youtube.com/watch?v=i1pCaynDmm8 - unfortunately, no exception!
