It is a genuine cave, which is now well above the snow line, hence permanently frozen. This is kind of the ice equivalent of a stalagmite.

Thank you so much for visiting, and your suggestion for a name. Yes, "A shark leaping out to catch a penguin", I like it. You are right, this one was on Pano, and I remember your visit and suggestion from there. As the weather has been so bad, I have not been out for a while, so I am raiding the archives instead!
