Half way! The mussels are under the sea at high tide. At low tide there is a beach here! The tidal sweep is impressive and any activity on the shoreline needs very intensive knowledge of the tide times!

I'd love to sit on that beach and even gather mussels. But if I ate the mussels I would be horribly ill. I like the taste, but they must hate my insides, the amount of fuss they kick up after I've swallowed them!!!

When my Spanish brother-in-law visits (he's my sister's husband. She and her family - all very Spanish - also live in Spain), he loves to collect bucketfulls. We all love them except my Dad who detests all sea food of this kind. He even has to stay out of the room when we eat thjem!
