Fair Head

The last day of our stay on the north coast of Northern Ireland we walked the Gray Man's Path around Fair Head, a headland on the coast. In this photo, Scotland is visible in the distance. Fair Head is considered one of the premier rock-climbing locations in Europe and its cliffs are visible along much of the north coast.

Keep well and safe my friend. Have a good day.
Thanks so much for your visit, so nice to kick back and enjoy catching up with the latest! :) Thanks too for your comments on those Least Chipmunks...I wonder if they were a couple or maybe a pair of littermates? Hard to know, isn't it? I sure was delighted when a second one joined the first that I'd been taking pictures of. Hard to top that level of cuteness too! :D Steve and I loved hanging out at our site and watching them run around. Made reading a bit...a LOT...distracting but hey, I could think of worse distractions, eh?! :)
I knew you'd enjoy the maps. It really gives so much more understanding. Steve and I enjoyed staring at my finished maps for a while, chatting about where we'd gone and actually, how much of the state we didn't visit. The east is a place we've not been to at all. Oregon really is something. Incidentally, we are very bummed that the THREE campgrounds in the Columbia Gorge are situated RIGHT NEXT TO the confounded railroad where they sound off literally all night long. That and freeway noise, it's just incomprehensible that so many knuckleheads green-lit these campgrounds. The negative reviews because of the horrendous noise go on and on. I mention because we are so annoyed that they are located in otherwise fabulous spots--but aren't worth staying at. Makes me so mad because I want to see them. We'll have to figure out some solution at a private campground that's located in a quiet area but close enough that we can visit the parks.
Such interesting timing that you would go to Ireland to visit your daughter and then, not even a month after returning, she's visiting you!

I'm back! :D
Cauliflower crust pizza? Chicken Korma? Stuffed Poblanos?? SIGN ME UP! :) Sounds glorious! We currently have a tri-tip in sous-vide and it's bound to be marvelous along side a "junk" salad (where we add way too many ingredients that it seems the lettuce is fighting to be seen!)
Sounds like your backpacking trip will be great fun with the family, and hopefully the littlest of them all will have a fine time too...go Evelyn! :D
Snowbirding sure sounds great to me, and I hope you guys decide to go--like you said, why stay home in the snow when you can be off having fun?! :) And yes, there are lots of awesome places to visit in the winter months other than Texas...though there are so many places in Texas too! www.planetware.com/texas/best-state-parks-in-texas-us-tx-180.htm Heh...oh Ron, anytime the word Texas comes up, Steve poo-poos it and says it's the ugliest state with nothing to see but brown and boring. He rode his motorcycle from Dallas basically straight west through the state on his way home a few years back and is convinced that since the area he saw was dismal, the whole state is that way. No matter that I've told him about Big Basin, etc. It's so silly! I'll have to send him more links to show how beautiful that state can be!
I love that you tried to pick a lake with all the right elements to please everyone, and you hit a home run! YAY! Love that! Glad you've been having such a good time with family these days!
Wow--as I'm sitting here, the WIND is gusting up like crazy! I think a storm must be brewing, the wind has been getting stronger and stronger in the past couple of hours...odd, the forecast says nothing out of the ordinary. I sure don't like all this wind though!
Anyway, I think that's it for me! Have a great rest of your day! :)
