Window Trail

Window Trail
These are three photos of the Window Trail in Big Bend National Park. The trail was the last trail we hiked there on the last day of our visit to the park. This photo shows where the trail follows a narrow canyon through the surrounding Chisos Mountains to a to cliff where the water from the Chisos Basin pours off. The trail at this point is up on the rocks at the left of the photo but drops back and forth across the water that's left in the canyon.

Another interesting series, Ron. The rocks in this image certainly show the effect of the rushing water. Stay safe and have a great weekend.

Really super pictures that show the desert roots of this place. Love the succulents. The main picture makes me want to jump in!

LOL, I loved your last comment on the picture I took of an ant on a Trillium leaf--you can now rest, knowing that you figured out what those darn flowers are! I told Steve that you and I are peas in a pod when it comes to identification...he knows I'm like that but was amused to learn that you are the same way. He sends his condolences to Nancy! LOL!

Finally, you'll see my Cliff Swallow nest pictures today! And I couldn't resist including a link to your picture so people can see how the nests look when attached to natural cliffs! :D
