Burro Mesa Hike

This was taken on our second hike of the second full day of our stay in Big Bend National Park. We traveled down the Ross Maxwell Scenic Drive on the west side of the park, stopping at various places along the way and hiking at some of them. This hike took us along a dry wash to the Burro Mesa pour-off, a water-worn channel in the rock from the top of Burro Mesa, shown in the first inset. Here was the wash which was also our trail.
