Upper Tahquamenon Falls

On our recent trip to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, after leaving Mackinac Bridge, we went first to Tahquamenon Falls State Park and walked the trails near the Upper Falls which allow one to see the falls from different perspectives. These are some of the photos we took there, two of the insets showing the Tahquamenon River above and below the falls and one of the insets focusing on the color of the falls, the result of tannins in the water from the surrounding hardwood forests.
