This and the insets are photos from a snowshoeing trip up to Artist's Point near Mount Baker. The mountain in the background is Mount Shuksan and Lake Anne, a popular summer hiking destination, lies just beyond the ridge in the upper middle of the photo.

Great colors, Ron.
Thanks so much for the wonderful comments about my springs! :)
I loved what you had to say about photography, and you're so right. If you are passionate about it, and strive to improve, then every picture you take can be a lesson. And there's no questioning the fact that our photography is totally influenced by what we see by others. I constantly change and alter the way I take pictures based on the images I've seen from other people. I consider things I wouldn't normally. I try things that would never come to mind if I'd not seen a picture to add to my ideas to integrate.
It was neat to hear how you came to join photo communities...starting as one reason and then turning into something unexpected and far richer!
I loved hearing about your love of Mt Baker and all it has to offer. Wonderful too, that you've experienced it in different seasons so you have a real understanding of it. That's really cool. :)
LOL, you were Grandpa Jungle Gym! :D Fun stuff...but I am not surprised you are happy for some quiet...kids are such fun but they are soooooo much! :D Still, the diversion was probably nice to keep loneliness at bay...Tuesday will be here soon enough though! :)
this year more snow than the past ones ?
