Ice

Will winter never end? We had several more inches of snow last night and have had record amounts for the month. We still have several feet on the ground and little has melted. It seems as though winter will never be over. This photo of ice on the needles of a Ponderosa Pine tree was taken after an ice storm in January as were the insets.
I've added this to the group, Pictures for Pam, because I remember the ice storm that Pam went through last year. Ours was nothing like that and there was very little damage either to trees or power lines. Hope you are keeping your spirits up, Pam, and continuing with the courage and perseverance I know you possess.

Sehr schöne Spuren des Frostes, Ron.
Freundliche Grüße und einen schönen Tag
Erich
I feel for you. Steve and I chose our home partially based on knowing that the snow doesn't stick for more than a few days. It has been snowing every day now for 3-4 days, but it's not hung around. It's just been very sloppy outside and I don't want to get into the goo so I'm staying inside mostly. To think what it would be like to be stuck in snow mode. UGH! Tiresome is an understatement I'm sure.
Steve and I tried brisket for the first time and it's TERRIFIC! This cut of meat is known to be tough but with sous-vide it was not only tender, the flavor is fantastic and different than other cuts like tri-tip, which we love so much. Upon our brisket we drizzled mushrooms sauteed in butter...NOM. :)
