Frost and Lichens

We had freezing fog the day these photos were taken but that was all the more reason to get out with the camera and the effort did not go unrewarded. There are several different kinds of lichens on this branch and I believe the the long, gray, hairy lichen is known as Witches' Hair but lichens are notoriously difficult to identify and I've made no real effort to do so.

LOL, glad you liked my selfie behind my camera...it's my favorite too...how nice to hide conveniently behind it. :)
I like your travel guidelines. We will definitely be following a MUCH LESS RIGID set of ideas on traveling in the future. I told Steve how you guys travel and we both agree: that's just our cup of tea. It is amazing how bad things can get when travel plans fly off the track. Ugh. Oh well, in the end, it became a catalyst for fixing a bunch of issues. :) All good in the end. :)
