Snow

Snow
We have had snow and more snow the past few weeks, close to a one and half meters (five feet). Some of it has melted but most of it is still on the ground. In spite of the snow we take a walk every day looking for things to photograph and this snowy lichen was one of our finds and one of the few things that's green at this time of the year.

When I looked at your first picture I thought, "WOW, that's pretty!" but when I saw the first inset I burst out loud, "OMG THAT IS SO BEAUTIFUL!!!" Heh...Steve probably wondered if I was ok! :D (he is in another room atm) Gorgeous photography, all three. The last inset is equally spectacular. What a show.

I'm tickled that you were so taken by my dewy feather. I have never seen anything like it either. What a fine surprise.

Glad to hear your trip has been progressing well, you'll be home before you know it! :)

I sure had fun taking frosty pictures today. UGH though...if I'd taken a monopod I'd have more useable pictures. Kicking myself because we may not have such quality frost again this year. I'll keep my eyes open though!
