Decorations

Taken on a February, 2014 snowshoe excursion to the Mount Baker area. On this occasion I went with our youngest son, Edward. The day was mostly overcast and so we took more pictures of the trees and the snow than of the surrounding mountains which were only visible at times.

Sunlight and Snow

Taken on a March 2014 shoeshoe excursion to Artist's Point. Artist's Point is at the end of the Mount Baker Highway and north of Mount Baker in the North Cascades, but the end of the road is closed in the winter and the only access is by skis or snowshoes.

Hoarfrost

We were in eastern Washington twice the end of December and middle of January and both times we had freezing fog there with the result that everything was covered with hoarfrost. This photo was taken at Manito City Park in Spokane, Washington

Fallen and Frosted

Frosted Brambles
