Swift Creek

When hiking to Lake Ann the trail first descends 900 feet from 4800 feet elevation into a beautiful valley through which one hikes until crossing Swift Creek at which point the trail ascends again about 1000 feet (4900 feet elevation) to a small saddle over which lies Lake Ann. Swift Creek tends to be a place where hikers stop for a rest, a snack, perhaps for lunch, before hiking on. The hike is just over four miles, though there is a side trail from Lake Ann to Curtis Glacier that is another mile further. This photo Swift Creek was taken by my wife who spent the time doing photography instead of resting.
