Cluster Thistle

Cluster Thistle
I am not actually certain of the identification of this thistle as the Cluster Thistle or Cirsium brevistylum. I did not take enough pictures to make an accurate ID when I had my references handy. It was photographed in Yellowstone National Park.

In my expert opinion as a retired National Park Service Naturalist, it is definitely a Thistle! lol But seriously, this is an excellent shot. Hope you can pin down the species.
