This is in the window of the Marine recruiting office and it is likely post-WWII. There is no information about this or the boots in the window display. Photo below is from: tinyurl.com/gmowerm, which has more information than you knew you wanted about military hats and helmets!

Presumably Viet Nam era due to the age of the VW in back. My guess is that they were on R&R in Hawaii.

It's kind of sweet, isn't it? The VW in the background helps to date the photo, at least within a decade. As for the boots...I have no idea. 1960s, would you say? I can imagine these guys tying one on before they ship out to Viet Nam. : (
