Back on our older further afield local walks we pass this series of fences to a school. I always think it a great shame that our schools should be fenced liked prisons, but that is England today. A reminder too of our present re-imposition of tighter restrictions here in my home town of Oldham, North West England where we too feel imprisoned.

Yes, this school does seem to be protected by bigger stronger fences than usual but as you say, a sign of our times. Covid, well I have said enough already!
