Lily

A snap of our home grown (Stargazer) lilies. These are just in from of our conservatory doors and so when we sit in there we can see them in their glory. In the evening the sweet aroma of these plants can be the most wonderful or unpleasant experience depending on whether you are allergic to its pollen. (as I am sometimes)
'Lily, the common name applied to herbaceous flowering plants belonging to the genus Lilium of the family Liliaceae. The genus contains between 80 and 100 species, native to the temperate areas of the Northern Hemisphere. Lilies are prized as ornamental plants, and they have been extensively hybridized.' www.britannica.com

Herb Riddle club has replied to Jaap van 't Veen clubAnd here's a tip (something my mother taught me); If the lily heads are anywhere near where people might brush by, cut the stamens out as the pollenn stains clothese indelibly! Might also be a cure for your occasional allergy!!
