Yorkshire wall pattern

Yorkshire wall pattern
Around our way, up in Yorkshire and Lancashire too, come to that, we have lots of fields and often the separation between them are not made of wire or wooden fences but real quarried cut stone or in reality - rock! No wonder then that the same walls are standing as good as ever hundreds of years later. Now and again we can get to a point of view where the patterns are quite distinguished as here.
Taken at Holmfirth, Yorkshire

Hmm I have not heard them called that before Rosa, but I can see where you are coming from. I have always called them field-boundary walls but perhaps hedges are more appropriate. Glad you liked it.
