Sowerby Bridge Basin

Another look at the Calder & Hebble Navigational canal. this time we see the canal basin - the place where canal boats and barges can be moored long stay. Normally at least one boat yard is also present, so a place where one can bring your craft for repairs and service. We see here also the old worn-out shiny cobbled tow path where many years ago now, horses would pull the working boats along the canal. I am lucky on this day that the water is so still, allowing such fine reflections.
Enjoy

I tried to sell my beautiful 14 year old Passat this Summer but was offered a pittance and so I kept it and have since spent nearly what I was asking for it, just to keep it on the road for another 6-12 months -but I hardly use it. Only 80K done altogether on the 2L diesel. I have a feeling that when I want to use it for real -it may well let me down.
Keep snapping anyway - Herb
Cheers, Herb
