Our first morning at sea, heading up the Norway coast toward Alesund. HFF and best wishes for the weekend, everyone. Explored.

The Hurtigruten ships make many stops along the Norwegian coast. Some stops, at larger ports, are for several hours. Other stops, at small coastal centres, are for little more than minutes. Here we're sailing (out to the left of the image) around the nearby island and lighthouse, then heading for the little port beyond.

We're approaching a quick visit here which Hurtigruten identify as Torvik on their general map, but which on Google Earth is identified as Moltustranda (see map): the little lighthouse on this island makes it quite identifiable. After passing the islands and little lighthouse in my previous series, we came in to the jetty for the village (where we didn't stay long). In this image we were on the approach: see also the next two images (also in PiPs) - all best viewed large. Explored.
