It's Garbage!

It's Garbage!
Local "Landcare" volunteers sorting bags of garbage collected alongside nearby roads, as our contribution toward "Clean Up Australia Day". Officially it's 2 March, but because of other commitments we brought our local effort forward.

Thank you Rita. The "Clean Up Australia" campaign has been running for some years. It was started by a round-the-world yachtsman who returned horrified at the rubbish even in the middle of oceans.

Interesting that you mention tourists, there is little problem here except in the holiday seasons when the tourists arrive. It seems, as you suggest, that it's considered OK to make a mess of someone else's place.
