Minolta doll

Minolta doll
Long ago in the 1960s, when I purchased my first Minolta SR1, with it as a gift came a Japanese doll standing about 250mm high and "Minolta" on the base. Does anyone else remember these? When I was testing a SMC Pentax FA 100mm F2.8 Macro lens, it seemed an appropriate subject.

Addendum: I now have included a note (at top right) showing a full image of the doll.

Yes indeed Pam. I couldn't see camera makers doing that now! I should add that her original (and much nicer) umbrella has long since been lost - this one I think came with a drink. :)

Can you remember what the original umbrella looked like... I have an idea.. but would need to know something about the original... ?

I think they were provided for only a short time, and possibly only in Australia.
