Meet Nerys (Welsh Gaelic name meaning "Lady")

On Sunday 7th January we went down to Texas to bring home this beautiful 2 years 11 months Great Pyrenees Mountain dog home. She is a rescue and the most beautiful and gentle soul. She has not had much stability in her life but now... this is her Forever Home.

Its a slow building of faith and Flicka taught me you just have to take that blind leap of faith. Pyreneen's are very very stubborn and this now is a very steep learning curve.. for both of us.

She is a sweet gentle soul sent to me by Flicka and Lucas and the Universe to heal and restore.

The Magic begins again.

Quelle BEAUTÉ et un regard plein de douceur….Vous avez une belle grandeur d'âme de l'avoir pris en charge pour le reste de ces jours. Moi j'ai adoptée un jeune chiot de 8 semaines d'une portée de 5 chiots caniche. La période d'adaptation pour le propreté et l'éducation n'as pas été façile, mais je suis ravie du résultat et elle sembl si heureuse avec nous et mon conjoint à la retraite. C'est notre rayon de soleil dans la maison !

It was just her first day here in her new home after nearly 3 years of being living in foster homes and rescue.

She is learning love is here for her. Time is a great healer.

I've read about the stubbornness of herd-guarding dogs. They're bred to work independently, so listening to a human is low on their scale of interests - lol! But, you probably know all about that. She's a beauty and I'll bet she will love "her" puppies!

Diane.... having just had nearly 12 years with Flicka.. a Blue Heeler. a cattle dog.. I can totally vouch for listening to humans being low on the priority scale !

C'est une chienne de chez moi : un "montagne des Pyrénées".

Nous les appelons aussi "Patou".

Ils servent à garder les troupeaux de moutons car ils sont élevés avec eux depuis leur sevrage et les protègent contre les loups !

Hello Pam,

It's a bitch to me: a 'mountain of Pyrenees.'

We also call it 'Patou'.

Those dogs are used to keep sheep as they are raised with them since their weaning and protect against the wolves!
