Grape Hyacinth

Grape Hyacinth
Taken in my garden this afternoon. I have several of these growing in my lawn.

Had to get down on my knees to get this perspective..........it took a while to get back up again :-)))

Jean Paul Capdeville, Christel Ehretsmann, Xata, Peter Castell and 19 other people have particularly liked this photo

Yes, it's hard work Güni, but sometimes we have to suffer for our art.

At least I was in my garden and I could have shouted for my wife to come and help me get up...................but she would have laughed at me :-)))

Glad you like this image.............and thanks for your visit and kind comments always. Much appreciated.

Have a lovely evening and rest your knees and back! Best wishes, Keith.

Striking colour and a beautifully crisp capture with the perfect backdrop ,Keith,
Really a wonderful image !
We have them come up between the slabs in the garden, at least the badgers wont dig them up!

Keith Burton club has replied to Roger (Grisly) club
Thanks for your kind and generous comments as always Roger. I really appreciate your visits.

I don't mind them in the lawn...........it's an excuse not to mow it..!!

I'd love to have badgers in the garden..........it wouldn't need digging either :-)))

Happy to have them Keith, selective planting is required though!

I know the feeling, do your knees crack as well ?!

Superb shot Keith.

Keith Burton club has replied to MaggsMep club
Glad you like the shot Maggie.........thank you so much.

My left knee is not so bad, but my right knee sometime collapses under me when I try to get up..........it's probably because I eat too much cake :-)). No cracking noises though (yet)!

Gorgeous background colours perfect for this little flower Keith, I always have a plastic bag with me in case I need to avoid muddy knees, there's not much to recommend getting less young

Keith Burton club has replied to Peter Castell club
Thanks very much Peter.........glad you like this one!

I have a waterproof padded mat which I use for kneeling on.........for weeding and for taking photos. I also keep one in the car.

 Xata

Just take a walking stick to help getting up… it is what I do !
Keith Burton club has replied to Xata club
I do that sometimes as well Isabel........I have a wooden one with a fitting to put a camera on ( like a monopod), but I find using a mat to kneel on and a bean bag for the camera is much easier.
Xata club has replied to Keith Burton club
The bean or seeds bag is a trick I also use, but if hiking I don’t carry one, I try to reduce weight more and more…
4 days ago.
Keith Burton club has replied to Xata club
I only take the bare minimum if I'm hiking.........more if I'm using my car! It never used to be..........but weight is an important consideration for me nowadays!
