Trees and Trails - Hayling Island, Hampshire

These trails run adjacent to a stretch of the coast near the old oyster beds which are behind the trees in the background. Nowadays the oyster beds are a protected area for breeding sea birds (mainly Terns). Just to the right (out of shot) is a more accessible path known as the Hayling Billy Trail, which follows the route of the old steam railway which used to run between Havant and Hayling Island. On the left, around 5 metres away is the sea.
