Autumn Beginnings

Still a bit early yet, but there are definite signs of Autumn colour in the trees on the edge of Stansted Forest, Hampshire.

Lovely shades of green and gold! Autumn colour is coming early this year, one frosty night and all of them will turn.

Thanks Gudrun.............I think it may be a while before we get some frost this far south in the UK, the colour changes came quite late last year.

In our part of Germany the colours so far are all down to drought, I guess it's the same here...

Yes, it's been a pretty dry summer - but from today it seems to getting more autumn-like. The leaves on the two sycamore trees in my garden are dropping like mad.
