I haven't seen any like this before Keith. I like the perspective in the main shot and the PiP is superb. I have only been to Hayling Island once, just for a day. I would add it to my list, but I don't reckon I'll get through it now ;-))

Thanks Rosa............this timber sea wall was erected (I think) in the late 70's in response to serious coastal erosion. They're holding up pretty well!

Thanks Fred................glad you like the shots. I did think about putting it up for HFF, but decided not to in the end. It's more of a wooden wall than a fence really!

J'aime beaucoup l'effet photographique. Sur le plan technique je n'ai jamais vu ce type de protection. C'est peut être plus simple et tout aussi efficace que certaines réalisations que l'on voit. Ca me rappelle aussi (d'aprés certains films ou photos) les défenses que faisaient les Allemands pendant la derniere guerre pour contrer un débarquement. Bonne fin de semaine. Jean paul

Thank you Jean Paul. I think that using timber was cheaper than using concrete or boulders and it also looks pretty good in the environment. It's lasted since the late 70s so far!

A well chosen perspective! The sea defence looks pretty sturdy, I suspect it's there for a reason;-)

Thank you Gudrun............yes, it's lasted well (it was constructed in the late 70's I think) to counter serious erosion. It seems to be working pretty well.
