The Spinnaker Tower, Portsmouth, Hampshire

The Spinnaker Tower, Portsmouth, Hampshire
Taken from Spice Island. You can see Portsmouth Harbour with HMS Warrior in the background. Gunwharf Quays apartments and shops on the right of the tower. A couple of "spare" ferries berthed up on the left and a a rather posh private yacht berthed in the centre of the shot.

This view has been photographed many thousands of times but it never fails to impress me. Please view large on black for best effect. Thank you.

No matter how many times I see The Spinnaker Tower, whether in colour or b&w, or actually passing by it, it always looks so impressive, and beautifully captured here! I have just looked up Spice Island...very interesting and has quite a past. Love learning things like that!

B&W brings it all together and accentuates the tower's architecture, excellent! Sad to see all the parked ferries. I think private yachts are getting uglier by the year, (laundered) money cannot buy you good taste;-)

The ferries are running a reduced timetable at the moment due to Covid-19. They swap them round now and again. Love your money laundering comment :-))))
