Skokholm Cottage

Skokholm Cottage
My accommodation on Skokholm - there are four single rooms and one twin room inside the cottage as well as a large common room with a log burner fire. The is an office for the Wardens in the attic space. Believed to have been built in around 1760 at the cost of £150.00.

A history of the Island here: www.welshwildlife.org/skomer-skokholm/skokholm/history-of-skokholm if you're interested.

It's lovely inside..............each evening at 2100 everyone staying gets together in the common room with the Wardens and volunteers to go through details and numbers of all bird, insect, plant and animal species that have been seen that day. There is always a log fire on the go and possibly some wine and spirits may get drunk :-))

Very cute but deceptive, if it manages to fit all that in!
