Hahaaaa....that´s the most beautiful and funny shot of a puffin I´ve ever seen...he looks as if he wants to kill you with a look :)

Blumin heck Keith, you got close up to this one and managed to get her perfectly. I do know that your Olympus camera at the four thirds crop factor of two would make your 300mm lens here the equivalent of a 600mm on full frame. Great for close ups like this and also at this focal distance, great for narrow d.o.f and bokeh. You have it all about perfect here. Very well done my friend. Herb

Not sure how you got this terrific portrait but very well achieved!

The puffins on Skokholm are pretty used to humans and get quite close.......but in this case I used a 300mm zoom lens on a micro four thirds camera.........that's the equivalent to a 600mm in 35mm (film camera) terms!
