I really like the look of this lovely thatched cottage situated in Chidham, a village in West Sussex. If anyone wants to see the wider location, please check out a previous image I posted: www.ipernity.com/doc/keithburton/51353864 It's Father's Day in the UK and so I would like to wish all of you who are fathers (whether you are in the UK or not) a Happy Father's Day!

My accommodation on Skokholm - there are four single rooms and one twin room inside the cottage as well as a large common room with a log burner fire. The is an office for the Wardens in the attic space. Believed to have been built in around 1760 at the cost of £150.00. This is where I stayed whilst on Skokholm. There is also a Common Room where everyone meets at 9pm and the Warden takes the days bird, animal and insect counts, and answers any questions.

Primrose Cottage 1903. Taken at Milford Locks, Eastney, Portsmouth. Can't find out much about this cottage, but I believe it may be the last surviving residence of the "shanty town" that grew up around the locks in the late 1800s and the early 1900s, remaining there until shortly before WWII. I have no idea who owns the cottage now. Please view large, on black.

This cottage is just beautiful........and is right opposite a pub. Perfect! (First photo processed in LR5 - Yay)!!

Prospect Cootage with its lovely yellow window frames was the home of the late Derek Jarman (Director, Writer and Actor). I have no idea if it is currently occupied but in looks to be in good condition and definitely not abandoned.
