Privet Hawk Moth

Privet Hawk Moth
Last week, I went to visit my friend Ajophotog (on IP) who had kindly set out his moth trap the night before. We spend quite a while photographing, identifying and then releasing them. Great fun! The highlight for me was this magnificent Privet Hawk Moth.......I hope you like it as much as I do.

The adjacent photo shows it resting on my hand (for scale). It's big!
