I visited here with a group from university (history) on what proved to be one of the coldest days of the year (1977 from memory). Too cold to derive any pleasure from the trip. I always meant to return but never did.

Thanks very much Andy. I usually visit the castle and grounds a couple of times a year, it's always well worth it. Such a shame you didn't enjoy your visit ;-(
