Keith Burton club has replied to Jaap van 't Veen clubI love the textures in this image, they are just wonderful. Your composition is super too and your dof adds to the wonderful overall texture of this picture. :)
I'm so glad you enjoyed my spider web pictures...definitely among my best so it's a feather in my cap that you are chuffed by them as well! (I forgot to mention in my picture that the spider web circle was only a couple of inches in diameter but yet, as perfect and amazing as the large ones that are so much easier to see. So glad I spotted it.
Your story of the stick for clearing the path every morning...lolol...the images in my mind's eye of what a neighbor might see and think...*rolls around holding my stomach and howling in glee*... that's just so funny, Keith! :D And seriously, if only I could have film of the two times I was most freaked out by spider webs in my face...I would just LOVE to die laughing as I watched the scenes for the 500th time...the incredible volume of my horrified shrieking is truly amazing, and running around like an out-of-control banshee...OMG it's just the funniest thing to think about after the fact. Plus, one incident was when I was about 13, the other when I was about 46...and side by side I think the videos would play just about the same! And even though I hated spiders then and I love them now...I cannot HANDLE the thought of a big spider crawling on me, and it doesn't matter that it wouldn't hurt me. Isn't that the silliest thing? Oh brother. :D
Gotta say, GREAT idea to have a cane there to clear a path. Took care of the heeby-jeebies in such an easy way!
