Looking through my kitchen window at the birch trees laden with heavy snow the other morning (alder trees in the background.) I was so afraid they would break! My husband went out and gently pushed the branches with a big, long pole and knocked the snow off of them. They are now standing up straight thank goodness! It's amazing what trees have to weather.

Thanks a lot, Carol. You never know just what you'll see out this window, deer, raccoons or the big, blue heron. I was most surprised to see the trees like this, though!
