Funeral for a Friend

I took this is at the "Buena Vista Cemetery" in Port Gamble, Washington, some very old tombstones. It's always interesting to walk around and read them and imagine what the people's lives might have been like and what might have cut their lives so short in some cases.
This album was so popular with my friends and me when we were teenagers back in 1974. This song especially was always being played everywhere we went until my best friend was killed in a car accident that year. As you can imagine I could never listen to it after that.... However, as they say, "Time heals all wounds" and many, many years later I am able to once again enjoy this beautiful music, which was written by Bernie Taupin and Elton John, and remember my friend and how much we loved it. <3

My belated condolences to you and your best friend's family. It is always so tragic to lose and loved one, but even more tragic when they die young.
