(Looks best on black)

This is one of my first attempts at "Astrophotography." Not an easy task, but a very exciting challenge nonetheless. The thing I found hardest to do was to get any kind of focus on the stars themselves. I will keep on trying after the full moon when the sky is darker.

Dan Fogelberg from his "Home Free" album (1972)

I wouldn't know where to start with 'Astrophotography' If I needed some tuition clearly you would be a first rate tutor because this shot is a gem, Karen. Magical on black. Not heard this particular track...until now. A perfect match and a beautiful track from Dan Fogelberg. Thanks so much for posting to 'Sight and Sound', Karen.

You just start at the beginning, like I am doing. There is lots of helpful info on the internet. You just need to be up at night lol (Always helps to be a night owl. ;)

Thanks, Roger for such kind words. :)

nicely done, looks great against the silhouetted trees, and how lucky you are with your clear and unpolluted sky

If your camera has manual focus, just set it to infinity and the focus should be fine, you can put some tape on the focus ring so it doesn't get moved in the dark
