My parents in June 1987

Well into their old age, both my parents liked to be outdoors working.
Here they were building a new road into their property. They'd
received truckloads of free fill (= other people's unwanted dirt and
garbage) and were smoothing it down, with handtools) to be able to
drive over it. They landscaped it with plants, too, and did a good
job of it all.
My mother was seventy here, and my father 76. He died twelve years
later, and she 19 years later. They were both active until they died.
