Summer 1987

On a warm evening in July 1987, my wife had been outside and was
rushing inside. But I had the camera ready when she came in.
Uncharacteristically I used the "ICE" programme in scanning this
negative. I do not especially like ICE -- it is slow and often does
a poor job distinguishing detail from dust -- but I had a few minutes
to spare in scanning it, so I let it run. The film was Fuji HR1600,
thus the very grainy texture -- which held up well under the ICE.
