The strange texture in the flat areas of this are, I think, an artefact of my scan.

Kodak VR-G 200 film, expired March 1990 and shot in early June 2013.

i usually get that when the shot has been overexposed. not sure if that's the case here though.

That certainly could be the case. I was really just guessing at how much overexposure to give this film and I don't actually remember what I shot this at. I aimed for a rating of about ISO50 but that was all by eye rather than meter. :)
