Three Lochs in the Mist!

Three Lochs in the Mist!
Eilean Donan Castle in a September mist, Loch Duich from the left, Loch Long from the right, Loch Alsh, the Isle of Skye and the sea center,

Original castle built in 1220, However because of involvement in the Jacobite rebellions early in the 18th century, government ships destroyed the castle in 1719. The present-day castle is Lieutenant-Colonel John Macrae-Gilstrap's 20th-century reconstruction of the old castle.

Large may help clarity, HWW!

This must be the most photographed castle in the UK. Hardly surprising because the setting is spectacular.

Many thanks Amelia, It claims to be the most photographed in Scotland, but I suspect Bamburgh may give it a run for the UK crown!
