Northern Sea Walls

Port of Ness village, Isle of Lewis, Outher Hebrides, Scotland, HWW!

Nis, or Ness, is the most northerly parish in Lewis. It has the highest proportion of Gaelic speakers in Scotland, over 90%. It was settled by the Norse and its story since then has been closely tied to seafaring and to the sea.

Herb Riddle ^club

A far flung post of our Islands here Roger. A wild coastline here that your photo gives a lie to in the calm waters shown. I would also like to visit up here again. I have spent once, a few hours in Stornaway (maybe it a night?) in very poor weather before escaping to the mainland again.
