A second reworked version of an old photo. The first reworked version is in the PiP at top left.

I prefer this on a black background. Click the pic or type Z to see it.

Phil Sutters, Jean-luc Drouin, Sarah P., Annemarie and 21 other people have particularly liked this photo

I remember the first version - a bit disturbing. This one is dreamlike. This may sound a bit hoity-toity, but it reminds me of carvings in the rock that we saw in China some years ago.

Thanks, Bob. I have a CHinese connection here, too. It reminds me of a mural in the Royal Ontario Museum portraying Buddhist gods.

I really like this one..............especially this version. It's a touch bizarre and even a bit sinister - sort of like a spare parts for humans factory!

Great work John.

Thanks, Keith. I hadn't thought of spare parts, even though The Mechanical Bride, which is about people being treated as machines with replaceable parts. Thanks again for pinting that out.

Surreal and beautiful. Love the soft colours and the window reflections add to the effect. I also like the original which is darker and more dramatic. Both terrific images John. Have a great weekend

what i like about this one in contrast to the b&w version is the reflection of the building and tree branches in the window.

your 're-working' of this photo in both versions shows my mother's addage to be true - 'you can't crop a photo and make it good if it wasn't good in the first place, but you can crop a good photo anyway you want and it will still be good'. you've upgraded that to 'completely modify' instead of just crop!

seen and loved in my group 'm m multiples s s' - thanks for adding it!

Thanks, raingirl. I just noted there's a sort of grid in the reflections. I love grids, for some reason.

Color one works better for me.

For me, Marko, the difference seems to be in the relative attraction of the large and small heads. I suppose we all respond differently to things like that. I have a slight preference for the other, but only a slight one.

That's how it seemed from the sidewalk, too, Steve. St. Clair Avenue West in Toronto -- the street of dreams, eh?
