Fun at the Falls

Fun at the Falls
The percentage of people smiling is very high at Niagara Falls, at least on the Canadian side. The American side is more upscale. I once watched a show on the Buffalo PBS station about how Niagara Falls, New York, was trying to figure out how to get as many tourists as Niagara Falls, Ontario without being as crass and vulgar.

There are a lot of happy people at Niagara-on-the-Lake, though, which is definitely not crass and vulgar.

This is the Canadian Falls, according to Canadians, or the Horseshoe Falls, according to everyone else. It is in fact shared by Canada and the US (we get most of it, though).

Thanks, Sarah. I should get down to the Falls again, at least. I was going to post more photos from there, but apparently my technical standards were lower in 2012. An overlooked site in the Falls is Thousand Buddhas Stupa. I had what I had thought was a good shot of it but today it just is too poorly defined for me.

It is my doubt about visiting such overcrowded spots: what will be more important, to see for true what I saw in films and photos that shows places without tourists or to avoid the inconvenience of being like sardines in a can?
Next month I will be visiting the natural parks between Vegas and Frisco, what includes spots like Horseshoebend and Antelope canyon... I am not so excited because what I see and what I read is to state both are overcrowded...

I recommend Northern Ontario, Xata. This is an official administrative division of Ontario. Its area is about the same as the areas of France and the UK combined, but its population is under 800,000, so imagine France and the UK covered in dense forest. It has over 200 provincial parks and one national one. A little research would tell you which ones are most to your liking, Of course it's on Hudson Bay, too, and there are lodges, guided canoeing trips, etc.

Southern Ontario has its unspoiled spots, too. It's about the size of England but with only a quarter of the population, and half of that in Toronto.

Tourism Ontario should be paying me.
