she's halving a cow

Cut-paper collage postcard created for the Kollage Kit theme: "Illustrate an idiom."
This collage (and its title) is an attempt to get back at the wicked punsters who practice their evil wordplay on the Kollage Kit blog.
A question to ponder: if this piece were untitled, would you have been able to guess the pun it illustrates? Sometimes a collage resembles a rebus, and is thus a form of language.
Oh, and the cow is an 8-year-old Ayrshire—the only breed of dairy cattle native to Scotland. Ayrshires were popular for milking contests held in the 19th century.
