untitled 120916

My life of late is a disaster area, so I sat down to make a piece with bright red arterial spray coming out of someone's eyeballs. Instead, I made this. Maybe I needed something soothing. =shrug=
Cut-paper collage postcard. The flower is an amaryllis. The black & white photo is of the dome of San Carlo alle Quatre Fontane in Rome, by Francesco Borromini, 1638-41. The background is a cotton & wool blanket made in Laghouat, Algeria, early 20th century.
