Celtic granite cross - HFF
It stands in front of a viewing platform and combines the symbols of Brittany. On the base is written "PENN AR BED", that is to say "World's end". This platform is the circular base of a former German Freya-type radar during WW II.

CROIX CELTIQUE EN GRANITE. Elle est installée devant un belvédère et regroupe les symboles de la Bretagne. Sur le socle, on peut lire "PENN AR BED", c'est à dire "bout du monde ". Ce belvédère est l'embase circulaire d'un ancien radar allemand de type Freya datant la Seconde Guerre mondiale.

KELTISCHES GRANITKREUZ. Es steht vor einer Aussichtsplattform und vereint die Symbole der Bretagne. Auf dem Sockel steht "PENN AR BED", d. h. "Ende der Welt". Bei dieser Plattform handelt es sich um die runde Basis eines ehemaligen deutschen Radars vom Typ Freya aus dem Zweiten Weltkrieg.

Danke Güni, das Kreuz ist wirklich interessant. In den Kreuzarmen finden sichTierdarstellungen: oben 2 Fische (als Symbol für das Meer und das Christentum), links ein Hermelin (als Symbol der Reinheit und Wahrzeichen der Bretagne) und rechts eine Schlange (Symbol für die Erkenntnis und das Wissen). Unten ist ein Fischerboot (Symbol der regional bedeutenden Fischerei), bretonische Musiker (Symbol der bretonischen Kultur).

But you're right, a good remark. I suppose that on each continent there is necessarily a place where the continent's world ends, and to call it "World's end" sounds quite attractive...
