Une merveille architecturale - HBM

Commencée à l’époque romane, la cathédrale de Bayeux est dans l’ensemble une église gothique. La plus grande partie de la construction est concentrée dans les années 1230-1270. C’est pourquoi elle présente une assez grande unité de style : un édifice gothique du XIIIe s. enveloppant la structure romane primitive.

Begun in Romanesque times, the Bayeux cathedral is generally a Gothic church. Most of the construction is concentrated in the years 1230-1270. This is why it has a fairly large unity of style: a Gothic building of the 13th century enveloping the original Romanesque structure.
